Alumni Association, University College of Engineering, Osmania University is an autonomous body which will be governed by registered bye-laws. It is a not-for-profit organization with a sole aim of providing a platform for Alumni to come together and support the efforts of College of Engineering in building an Institution of world class. The spirit of the organization is to galvanize the alumni by rejuvenating the memoirs of their association with the Osmania University College of Engineering (OUCE), and interacting on continuous basis with the other alumnus, students and the faculty [both administration, and teaching staff].

The amended bye-laws were approved in the general body meeting held on Aug 22, 2015 at OUCE. It was attended by over 500 alumni of the college including many of our senior alumni from 1950s, 1960s and 1970s.

These bye-laws include Membership, Category of Members, Rights and Duties of the Members, Powers and Functions of the General Body (GB), executive council (EC), meetings and quorums, functions of executive committee and office bearers, assets and funds etc.

Category of Members:

 • Permanent members

 • Associate members

 • Patron members

 • Honorary members

Admission / Registration Fee:     NIL

Rights and Duties of the Members:

The said member shall be bound by the provisions of Bye-Laws of The Association.

• The spouse and the minor children of the members are permitted to use the facilities of the Association without any rights. 

• A Member shall be liable for loss or damage that was caused to the property of the Association, either by him or by those accompanying him.

• All Members would get a Registration Number and will have full access to alumni website.

• The Members shall be entitled to any other privileges contained in the bylaws without prejudice to The Association.  

Powers and Functions of the General Body (GB): All the registered members form General Body.

 • Annual General Body will meet once in an year i.e., in the month of January

 • Functions:

    (a) To pass the budget for the ensuing year and approve the expenditure statement of         previous year.

    (b) To approve the report of the activities of the Society.     

    (c) To elect the Executive Committee etc.

    (d) To appoint auditor.

Executive Council (EC):

All members shall function under the umbrella organization “The Association”, which shall be a policy making and governing body i.e. the Executive Council comprising of representatives of the members and shall be in-charge of the activities of “The Association”.

The composition of EC is as follows: 1. President 2.Vice-president 3.General secretary 4.Joint secretary 5.Treasurer 6.Immediate past President of the Association 7.Five Executive Members 8.Two Patron Members 9.Any One Member from the Election Committee.
